In the beginning of her career as a dancer Courtney danced and taught for several years on and off Cape Cod, with Debra Smith Pinkney, Cynthia Lane, and Ballet New England. She attended Dean College School of Dance where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance with honors, along with an A.A. in Psychology. Courtney has had extensive performance experience on Cape Cod as well as performing with the Dean Dance Company all four years of her college career. She has also been a company member with the Spindle City Ballet for 2 years. Courtney has performed corps and solo work in the following productions: Stars and Stripes, Serenade, The Nutcracker, The Doll Maker, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, La Source, Le Grande Tarantella, Pas De Quatre, Rhamonda, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty,  The Magic Flute,  Alice in Wonderland, The Princess and the Pea, Snow White, Through the Spindle, The Dance Extravaganza (performing with Maurice Hines, AC Ciulla, Derek Grant, and JT Jenkins) the musical, “On Your Toes” and many more. She has had extensive performing experience in various types of dance including; ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, African dance, Haitian dancing, and modern. Opening a new establishment to help young dancers feed their passion for dancing has been Courtneys most challenging and fulfilling dance encounter yet.
